PITCHING TENTS (Series)

PITCHING TENTS follows the dysfunctional staff and campers of the dilapidating Camp Oakeytokes. Mitch Hutton (early 20s) joins the team after spending all of his freshman college year playing video games alone. Now he’s learning how to survive the wilderness and even scarier, pre-teens.

The camp is a last resort for campers and staff alike. Lead by Johanna, who struggles to ignore her Type A personality tendencies and secret past. Second in command is Assistant Director, Craig, a dreadlocked hippy destined to keep the 90’s alternative music scene alive. In the mix is Valeria, the lunch lady/nurse, who plots to turn the children into communists.

Helping Mitch is Jermaine, the unfairly handsome asexual arts and crafts counselor. Mercedes, the Music and Dance counselor, self appointed a “problem-solver” despite always giving bad advice. And lastly, Mindy, the horseback riding expert whose a bit of a lush.

Camp Oakeytokes is a world of underground candy rings, archery accidents, mare births, camper uprisings, awkward swimmer’s itch and the jerk nerd camp across the lake.

After all, it wouldn't be summer without a little adventure.
